Production Manager, Cabinet & Millwork Shop

P5 Millwork & Design Ltd. is a family-owned cabinet and millwork shop with over 30 years of experience in commercial and residential projects. This is a hands-on leadership role balancing production planning, scheduling, quality control, inventory management and team development.

What we are looking for

  • 2+ years of leadership experience in cabinetmaking, millwork, or woodworking, or equivalent.
  • Experience managing a production team of 6+ and overseeing all shop operations.
  • Strong communication with time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, inventory management and ERP software.
  • Valid driver’s licence and ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Journeyperson certification or equivalent experience.

What you will do

  • Lead, motivate and mentor a skilled production team.
  • Plan daily and weekly schedules to meet project deadlines.
  • Manage workflow, production reporting and inventory.
  • Oversee quality control at all stages of production.
  • Provide technical expertise in woodworking, CNC operations and finishing.
  • Support the training and professional development of team members.
  • Drive continuous improvement while maintaining a safe, positive shop culture.
  • Contribute to production when needed.
  • Other related duties as assigned may also be part of the role.
